Yoga & Wellness, Nature Philanthropist, Community Activator, VIP Provider
Lisa's journey into meditation began in her teenage years during the mid-80s, a time when she faced challenges with low self-esteem. This experience marked the start of her healing path, exploring the teachings of Raja, Jnana, Karma, Bhakti, Hatha, and Tantric practices.
In 1990, she deepened her Hatha studies within the Ashtanga Vinyasa framework. Traveling from NYC to Miami and LA, she had the honor of learning from esteemed senior teachers. During a difficult pregnancy in 2000, she found profound peace and purpose through Bihar Nidra, Mantra, and Nada Yoga.
After the birth of her son, Lisa expanded her practice, exploring the lineages and teachings of Sivananda, Iyengar/Restorative, Jivamukti, and Kundalini.
Lisa has committed herself to guided and self-studies, maintaining a personal home practice for many years. Enriched by her deep experiences in Yoga, she was invited to teach at the opening of Red Pearl Studio in Fort Lauderdale in 2001.
Her teachings are anchored in the Krishnamacharya lineage, blending elements from various Tantric traditions to provide a holistic experience of the ancient Hindu lineage in today's modern Eastern Yoga landscape.
Her workshops and training sessions are comprehensive, focusing not only on physical postures but also on the evolution of these poses. By delving into yoga's sacred texts and time-honored traditions, she highlights the psychotherapeutic benefits that arise from regular practice and the spiritual liberation that occurs when energy flows harmoniously through the heart, body, and mind.
From 2006 to 2014, Lisa co-directed Aananda Yoga Teachers Trainings in Florida. Since 2008, she has served as the director of YCFL 200, 300 TT, Restorative Yoga, and Nidra Trainings.
Additionally, Lisa is a Usui Reiki and Vedic Thai Yoga Practitioner, Vibrational Healer, and is currently exploring Qi-Gong, Vedic Astrology, and Silvotherapy. While she cherishes various Eastern art forms, she also enjoys dancing, walking, skating, lifting, cold plunging, cooking, and sipping - bourbon straight!
With prior VIP experience in the nightclub industry in NYC and Miami, Lisa specializes in private teachings for high-profile individuals and public figures, assisting with their event planning.
She collaborates with the City of Fort Lauderdale, Bonnet House Museum, Galleria Mall, hotels, corporations, and organizations to organize wellness initiatives and programs.
As a wellness advocate, creative influencer, and community engager, Lisa hosts numerous wellness events featuring guest speakers. She has cultivated a deeper connection within the conscious community through her online platform and social media presence, establishing the Yoga cOMmUNITY of Florida in 2007.
Finally, she founded Fort Lauderdale Beach Yoga, offering light-hearted, affordable nature-based classes, monthly full moon gatherings, and promoting environmental awareness through beach cleanups and nature bathing for both travelers and locals since 2008.
